Elm Grove Yard Waste Facility

The Public Works yard is located at 900 Wall Street. Residents* may bring brush, grass clippings, and leaves only. The facility has seasonal Saturday hours. Refer to the schedule below for details.

As an environmental service, village crews pick up brush on a scheduled basis three times a year. A brush schedule is included in the calendar (April page) mailed to each residence by the Elm Grove Business Association in January of each year.

*Only Elm Grove residents are allowed to utilize the yard waste facility. No contractor or contractor vehicles (box trucks, dump trucks, etc.) will be allowed access. If you are an Elm Grove resident who does not have a WI drivers license with your current Elm Grove address, you will need to obtain a permit from Village Hall after showing proof of residency/ownership.

Hazardous waste materials are not permitted at the Village's yard waste facility.

Hours of Operation

In 2011, the Village suffered a very costly expense when some unwanted scrap metal found its way into the brush pile. This scrap metal went undetected and made its way through the brush grinder, causing significant damage to the machine, and leaving small pieces of metal in the processed woodchips. These woodchips would have been available to our residents, but instead, had to be hauled to a landfill. This, along with many non-residents and contractors using our facility and the dumping of other illegal items, has forced the Village to staff the yard when open to residents. In an effort to keep the yard open to our residents while maintaining control of the yard, the village has decided to only open the yard three (3) days a week from March through September.

The yard waste facility is closed during January & February.
