Wouldn't it be wonderful if Elm Grove could again be the Village shade-lined with beautiful elm trees we remember from a generation ago? It could be, with your help. Through the sale of disease resistant elm trees, the Elm Grove Beautification Committee hopes to help residents restore the grace and beauty that the American Elms brought to the landscape.
You may want to purchase a tree for your yard, or as a gift in recognition of someone special. In the case of a gift, the committee will provide you with a gift card at the time of your order acknowledging your gift and giving details for the March pick-up. You may even think about placing a tree as a memorial in your family cemetery.
The committee is offering you the opportunity to purchase six to seven foot bare root elm whips. These varieties of elms are disease resistant and grow moderately fast with a good form and strong branches. At the age of 30 years, the tree should be about 50 feet in height and 35 feet in width at the top.
The whips are priced at $75.00 each. Delivery of the trees will be made to the Elm Grove Village Hall in March or April of 2009. The weather is the deciding factor. These whips arrive in a dormant stage and will need to be planted right away. The committee is unable to offer guarantees on the trees.

Order forms are available at Village Hall, Village Pool, and various businesses throughout the Village. The absolute deadline for ordering is Monday, July 14, 2008. Checks must accompany your order and be received care of, and made payable to "The E. G. Beautification Committee" at 14450 Club Dr., Elm Grove, WI 53122.
