Elm Grove Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was created by the Village of Elm Grove in 1975 as part of the Elm Grove Fire Department. The service is now an independent department providing Emergency Medical Services around the clock to residents, business employees and visitors. The EMS is staffed by the Elm Grove Police Emergency Medical Technicians and Volunteer ambulance personnel: EMT’s, RN’s and an emergency room physician who serves as Medical Director. The ambulance routinely transports patients to three area hospitals: Elmbrook, Froedtert and Children’s Hospital.
