Apparatus

Department Apparatus

Through the years the department has kept pace with changes in fire service training techniques, protective personal equipment, firefighting equipment and apparatus. The department’s fleet of apparatus is comprised of two engines, one truck, and two tenders.

In Waukesha County the fire apparatus is designated by a four-digit number. The first two digits designate the municipality. Elm Grove is 24. The second two digits designate the kind of apparatus: 90s are tenders, 70s are trucks, 60s are engines, 50s are ambulances, and 00-10s are command and control vehicles.
