The Zoning and Planning Department:

• Administers the Village's codes and standards as set forth in the Village Code of Ordinances, specifically Chapter 335 Zoning.
• Conducts long-range planning projects.
• Reviews development proposals.
• Enforces the building codes, issues permits and conducts inspections of all phases of construction to ensure that building regulations are being met to protect the safety, health, and welfare of residents.
• Serves as the liaison to the Village's Building Board and Plan Commission.
